The Distribution Centre Operative plays a key role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of goods within the Distribution Centre. Working as part of the Operations team, the postholder is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, fulfilling customer orders to a high standard and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse.
The role requires a strong focus on accuracy, productivity and customer service, ensuring that products are handled safely and dispatched on time while maintaining excellent quality standards. Distribution Centre Operatives are expected to follow company procedures, health and safety requirements and operational processes at all times, contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining a clean, organised and efficient working environment.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues across Distribution, Purchasing, Customer Services and Sales to meet business objectives, deliver excellent service to customers and support the achievement of departmental performance targets.
